Launching the Enablement Notebook: Navigating AI and Rapid Reskilling

Welcome to the start of a new conversation. After years in the trenches of hands on technical work, project management, and technical enablement—particularly in complex sectors like cybersecurity and large-scale SaaS environments—I’m launching this space to muse on our biggest industry challenges.

Right now, the speed of AI adoption and the resulting demand for rapid reskilling are fundamentally changing the L&D landscape. At the same time, many companies are finding that just adopting AI isn’t dramatically enhancing their productivity. They see the potential, but not the payoff. This isn’t just about updating a PowerPoint; it requires a strategic overhaul of curriculum architecture and delivery systems. We need to be discussing how to optimize LMS governance, leverage data for predictive insights, and accelerate technical readiness for global, distributed teams.

I’ll be sharing my own questions and thoughts on this topic in a rapidly changing landscape in the coming months as they come to me. I’ve certainly seen some interesting challenges in the last decade, especially as corporations seek to continue cut costs and look for ROI while struggling to find employees with the skills they need to move their businesses forward.
